    trouble with indicators

    I have never run into this problem before but recently when I try to add an indicator to my chart it will add the indicator (keltner channel) for example but will not close the indicator window.

    I am able to adjust almost all of the properties of the indicator but when I try to adjust the color of the middle line it will not adjust it and then give me an error message saying Property value is not valid...

    Can you tell me what is going on? I am using two custom indicators that have been very stable in the past and no other indicators other than default indicators for NT7.

    Thank you for your post.

    Please follow the steps listed below to uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader. With this procedure you will not lose any Workspaces, Charts, etc.
    • Close all running applications.
    • Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
    • Then you will need to clear your internet browser cache and history. You will clear this from within your internet browser (with IE, Tools-->Options, delete cookies and files, clear history).
    • Reboot your machine.
    • Once these steps are completed, download NT7 from the link below.

      The advice helped with the indicator but NT7 is still acting up. When I try to open a new chart in my workspace it is getting locked up and I can't close the program without using task manager.

      also, when I try to open NT7 after closing the program it says that I'm running two copies and I need to close the process-.

      These are not problems I have encountered in the past. Thanks

        So that I may further investigate please contact me by email at PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com. In the message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace file.

        The file is a diagnostic file which you will find in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I need to review a copy of the file named 'trace.20160128.txt'.
