NT7 vs NT7 (64-bit)

Hi, I recently installed NT7 and on my desktop there are two icons

- one icon reads "NinjaTrader7" and points to "C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7\bin\"
- the second icon reads "NinjaTrader7 (64-bit)" and points to "C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7\bin64\NinjaTrader.exe"

I use Windows 7 64-bit.

When I click on the first icon "NinjaTrader7" , NT starts up. However, when I click on the second icon "NinjaTrader7 (64-bit)" , nothing happens.

Why could this be happening? Does the "NinjaTrader7 (64-bit)" work only if I buy NT7?

Sounds a little bit like this issue.

Read up on this and look for the extra directory path and if you have it, remove it, and report back details:

Please email your trace file to platformsupport [AT] ninjatrader [DOT] com so we may investigate this matter further.

You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

The trace file will be named "trace.20160122.txt"
