Breakeven hotkeys not working?

Hi there,

I would like to be able to push a hotkey and have my position taken to break even.

Please take a look at the attached screenshot which shows:

1. I mapped a hot key for "Breakeven ATM Strategy" and "Breakeven Position"
2. I entered into a trade using an ATM Strategy which has an AUOT BE defined
3. When I hit the hotkey for "Breakeven ATM Strategy" or "Breakeven Position" nothing happened, my stops were not moved.

Could anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong here?

Hello Michelle,

Can you please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->General-tab and enable 'Use order entry hot keys'. Click OK. Test a new trade and check if the hot key combination works.

Super thanks Jason, works like a charm. But... what is the difference between "Breakeven ATM Strategy" and "Breakeven Position" ?

I may be asking the obvious but will "Breakeven ATM Strategy" use the BE as defined in my ATM strategy - - e.g. if I have 5 ticks beyond BE will it be placed there?

Also, what happens if push the hotkey but my trade is in a loss - - will it immediately go to BE as soon as price gets there?

Both will modify your stop loss to breakeven. "Breakeven Position" also modifies stop orders that were submitted manually to breakeven. For example, you are in a position without ATM orders. Subsequently you manually submit a stop order. "Breakeven Position" was modify this stop order to breakeven.

No, it will modify the stop loss to breakeven.

When trading the Sim101 account, it will close the position.
