Faulty Google Finance connection mapping

Hi!
Try this for NSE india
Try to import Historical EOD data say for "Cipla". Symbol for Google Fin is NSE:CIPLA
and it is Stock. so we select stock . NO HISTORICAL DATA WILL BE IMPORTED
Now change the selection for the same Symbol from Stock to Index. Historical data will be imported!!!??. Is this bug with Google Fin or Faulty mapping of NT for Google Finance?.

Unfortunately this is a known issue. Stock instruments with such symbol mapping do not work with Google. You could import the data for an index instrument as a workaround.

It works with the free Yahoo data feed. Please see the forum thread at the link below. Post #5 contains an example.
