How exactly works the Ticks Charts?

Hello.
I try to understand ticks charts but seems a nonsense.

If i select a 50 ticks chart, the bar isnt a 50 ticks bar. Each bar have a different length...

Please, could you help me to understand?

Hello ninjo,

Tick bars do not work that way. The assumption that all 50 Tick bars should have the same size is incorrect. Please see the link below under 'Understanding Tick bars'.

Could it be you confused tick bars with another bar type listed at the link above?

Then, the next bar occurs when the chart Close price had 50 movements?

A new tick bar is created once 50 trades have been done.

How i can know when i trade have been done?
There is an official tool or indicator in Ninjatrader7 that show this count in real time?

You can use the TickCounter for this purpose. You can find it by default in the Indicator menu of the chart.
