Issue with End of Day data

    Hi Guys,

I have an issue with end of day data: I live in Israel (which has an 8 hours difference time from NY) and at 12:00AM local time, NT shows as if the day has ended. However, even though the daily bar doesn't change on the chart the price action apparently does. In the morning, that same bar looks completely different so basically I am getting a distorted view of how the day ended which greatly impacts my ability to trade properly.

At all times I am connected to both Kinetick End of Day and to CQG.

    How can I fix this?

    Many thanks.

    Hello Yaron,

Please note that price bars are time stamped at the closing time. For example if your PC clock uses GMT +2 time zone, daily bars are timestamped one day in the future. For example, the closing time of the daily bar for 1/13 is during 1/14 as per GMT +2 time zone.

If you like to reflect the price bars as expected, you will need to set your PC clock to US time zone. Please shut down NinjaTrader and change your PC clock to US time zone.

    Navigate to the location below.

    Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db

Delete the cache folder that is within the db folder.

Start NinjaTrader and check if daily data is loaded as expected.

      Hi Jason,

What do you mean by time stamped?

The time/date that is listed for the price bar.

Ok, I did as you suggested, my clock is now set to (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada). Time on my PC is 4:44 AM. Will confirm that it works tonight and tomorrow.

          Many thanks Jason.

When you say US time zone, what time zone do you mean? New York city? Chicago? What is the right time?

              Hello Yaron,
              Thanks for your reply.
Any US time zone would work. You can use whichever you prefer.
