If you have experience about MomentumBars and EmBars (custom range bar type), I would be grateful for some help. These open-source products were published and can be downloaded on coroin.com for free.
MomentumBars is a price-adaptive range bar, where the bars start to grow if there is no pullback in a move.
It is a very simple custom range bar type anyway: if you set e.g. range min. to 4 and range max. to 8, then the smallest bar can be 4 tick, the biggest one can be 8 tick.
(Open option: 1 = no gaps between bars, 2 = 1-tick gap between bars (like at normal range bar)). If a second green bar follows a first 4-tick-size green bar, then its body will be 5 tick tall. The next green bar will be 6 tick tall, and so on. As soon as a red bar occurs, the bar size starts from the beginning (4 tick). So it shouldn't cause any problem, normally. Very simple.
I am analyzing and testing MomentumBars for a while, currently I am running my Ninja script on MomentumBars chats, live on demo account.
I test it both on my PC and on VPS.
I regularly run into the same problems:
1. The same coloured bars fail to grow by one tick (so after a while the chart looks like a normal range bar chart).
2. Deviant big bars occur random sometimes.
3. Chart simply freezes, discontinue to draw bars.
These problems happen even when no Ninja script is running on the chart - so charts are just opened. I do not use any indicator or special view.
Unfortunately, I receive no asnwer from the developers.
Can anyone help me how to eliminate these problems?
Thank you.
