Direct Edition NT Won't Open

Hello.

Ninja Trader won’t open. I am using Futures account Direct Edition. These boxes come up:

1. First box says it’s reconfiguring Ninja Trader 7. 2.Then another box comes up and says:
“The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Check ok to try again or enter an alternative path to a folder containing the installation package
“tmp 1A91.tmp.”

3. When I click on browse, it shows my C drive and says that “tmp 1A91.tmp.” can’t be found.

Why is Windows reconfiguring NT? Why does it want to install something anyway.

What should I do? Internet and Mail working ok.

Hello Sharon,

Thank you for your post.

This indicates you may have a corrupt installation. Please follow the steps listed below to uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader. With this procedure you will not lose any Workspaces, Charts, etc.

• Close all running applications.
• Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
• Then you will need to clear your internet browser cache and history. You will clear this from within your internet browser (with IE, Tools-->Options, delete cookies and files, clear history).
• Reboot your machine.
• Once these steps are completed, download NT7 from the link below.

Thank you NT Christopher. However, when I get to the part to download NT again, how will I get the Direct Edition platform? It is different than the regular platform. ???

It will be the same installation for all users. After installation is complete when opening NinjaTrader your license key should still be in place and will recognize the key being used automatically.

Unbelievable!!! I went to download NT as directed, but IE doesn't let me download at times so I closed IE and opened FireFox. Now NT web site won't let me download NT since "Your Session Has Expired"

I rebooted and the same messge came up. It says I'm suppose to "register to initiate a new session and download Ninja Trader."

I put my email addy in again if that's what they mean and I tried several times. Now what!

Plus truthfully, I'd like to know what happened to create my problem to begin with.

You will find the file here: My Documents > NinjaTrader 7-> Trace > trace.YYYYMMDD.txt

Log file will be located by going to Documents->NinjaTrader 7->Log->log.YYYYMMDD.txt
