Range Bars

Hi,

I am using some range bars charts and I have realized that NT is plotting continuous range although there are not ticks in the middle of some bars. This is causing big differences on back testing results as is opening some positions at the open of a bar where really are not negotiations.

I think this is something important to amend.

I think what you want is done via the Alternative Range Bar indicator downloadable from the file sharing section.

Hi,

New to NinjaTrader and just downloaded the alternate range bar Ninja script but my charts are still being filled with continuous phantom bars during gap opening, how do I get NT to leave those gaps alone? I tried deleting historical data and reloading to no avail. Thanks for any help.

Please try period type "RangeAlt" as you open a chart. There also is the default "Range" period type. These are both range types currently supported.
