    Backtest-Periods-HoursofDay

When running a Back Test on a strategy and Reviewing the Periods/Hour of the Day, what exactly are we seeing? For example if the time period is detailed as 2:00 PM, would that be the 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM time slot or the 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM time slot? In other words, is the time period listed as "the hour ending in..." or "the hour beginning at..."?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Best regards,

    Dolfan

    Hi Dolfan,

When looking at the Periods in the summary the time is the start of that period.

When looking at bars on a chart the bar is the close time of the bar.

OK, confirming, any contracts that show up under the 2:00 PM line closed between the hours of 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. For the record, this is the opposite of what I assumed so thanks for the clarification.

      Best regards,
