Alert: Historical Dataserver appears to be down

It appears your historical data server is down. See attached data gap between last night and now, when I log on. Same picture for 6B, 6E, NG, CL, TF.

My broker is AMP, CQG connection.

Will someone please notify via this thread when the historical update server situation has been fixed?

ES opens in 2 minutes and historical dataserver still appears to be down. Update please?

It has been 60 minutes since I posted my alert.

It would be great for an NT employee to post a little message saying that it's been noted and is being looked into, it's rubbish and only my computer problem. Something. Anything.

But 1 hour of nothing is .... hm?! Especially as it prevents trading.

Strange. Now it works again. I closed NT, then went into the Document folder and deleted the "_workspace" file. Then restarted and reconnected NT. Everything's fine.

          What was that?

              Hello,

              Thank for your posts.

There was a short period of downtime this AM before we switched to backup servers. Restarting got users on the correct server.
Unfortunately this forum topic was not alerted to us until now as there was a backend issue with the email system for forum posts.

A six and half hours response time in the world of trading is really not very good when it concerns operation no matter the reason. What to do?

I am also concerned because I am in Europe so my morning is night time in Denver and if I have to wait for the guys in Denver to wake up, half of my production day has passed already.

The first thing I check when I run into such data gaps in the charts is the forum to see if other users already reported something. There was no post. Then I re-start NT to see if the problem persists. It did. Then I posted my alert. But if that doesn't get read by NT then who and where should I send the alert to instead.

Secondly, may I suggest that you post a notice in the forum when you switch data servers due to downtime having been noted on one server.

                Please advise.

                  Hello sandman,

                  Thanks for writing in.

                  You can always email platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com
Typically forum posts will get a much faster response however as I mentioned there was an issue which prevented the alert of the forum topic.
Your feed back will be taken into consideration.

Thank you Brandon. I'll keep that email address in mind. Hopefully there'll be no reason to use it.
