Ninjatrader runs out of memory

I know there have been many threads about memory problms, but I couldn't find anything about my situation. With about 10 charts and several strategies running, NT crashes , using somewhat under 3 GB of memory (per Windows' resource monitor). Point is, my machine has 12 GB of RAM, and the few other programs running at the same time had less than 0.5 GB being committed to. Is there a way to fix this problem, wich is extremely annoying when running strategies in live markets? For instance by assigning more memory to NT?
