Import Data Format

Hello Forum members,

I am trying to create the .txt file that NT needs to recognize the import. I have my series in excel but I am missing the step on how to convert the excel file to the format below NT needs. Can someone please explain how to do this?

Daily Bars Format
Each bar must be on its own line and fields must be separated by semicolon (. Only 1 day bars can be imported.

The format is:
yyyyMMdd;open price;high price;low price;close price;volume

Sample data:
20061023;1377.25;1377.25;1377.25;1377.25;86

Hello Fifthwave,

Unfortunately I am not sure how you can convert the data into the format that NinjaTrader needs other than copying the data into Notepad and manually adjust it. Hopefully other forum members have some suggestions. I suggest to post the file with data you like to convert.

excel to NT import format

Thanks Jason. I am posting here the file I would like to convert to the text format required by NT. I assume anyone that has imported from excel has had to do this same step.
