NT7 generate a new machine ID after installing Windows 10

Hey, today I install Windows 10 on my PC and I was so surprised that NT7 generated a new machine ID because all my customer programs and indicators with customer licenses ask for the old machine ID and now I must buy many new licenses. Can that really true, that Ninja Trader 7 must generate a new machine ID when I only upgrade my windows 7 PC to Windows 10?

Hello Christian,

Unfortunately the machineID can change when upgrading to Windows 10. We have seen reports before. Can you please contact the 3rd party vendor and explain your machineID was changed after upgrading, so they can authorize your new machineID.

Most vendors will invalidate your old ID and let you move to the new ID. Just contact them. At least, that is what we are doing, and we have had to do it quite a few times, even though our own ID's did not change.
