    Woodies pivots

I am noticing the pivot calculations between a 1 min and a 25 tick chart are quite different. The start and end times are identical yet the pivots are so way off from each other. I am using 6.5 Ver 1.

Likely your 1 minute series and 25 ticks series have different daily high/low/open values.

      Dierk,

By any chance have you compared a 1 min and a tick chart using woodies pivots on your end just to see maybe what I am experiencing? I use a Pats data feed with esignal as well.

Pivots will be different as series are different. Are they?

I will check to see if they are different.

          Thank you

In NT7, on CL (oil) 01-11, the Woodies Pivot is 88.66. All in Woodies chat room say its 88.33. Please look into this. Thanks

              steveg,

Which data provider is the room using and which are you using on your end?

                Woodies Pivots

I am using Zenfire as my data provider. Several in his chat room also use it. Most use Trade Navigator charts with feed from PFG Best. PFG and TN are Woodies highest recommendations.
As I understand the calculation, its yesterdays high plus yesterdays low plus todays open twice...all divided by 4.
For the CL 01-11, most in chat room use 24 hour charts

                  Hi steveg,

                  Thanks for the clarification.

If you manually enter the HLC data that the indicator is calculating on, do you results normalize?

I ask because the daily data from Zen-Fire is the RTH session only. If the room is calculating based on the HLC of a 24 hour period, you may be using different data sets.

                    Thanks for your response Kyle
                    A curious situation.
I get the same result whether I use the setting "intra day calculator" or "user defined" (when I enter the data).
From this, I must conclude that the Zenfire data is different from the PFG data, unless you can offer a different reason.

                      steveg,

Did you remember to set the 'PriorDayHLC' option to 'UserDefinedValues'?
