Importing data limited to 2 decimal places?

Hello, Is it possible to import data with more than 2 decimal places?

Please see attached, NT is rounding my imports to 2 d.p.

Hello rs123456,

Can you please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager. Highlight the AUDCAD and click Edit. Set Tick size to 0.0001 and click OK.

Remove and re-add the AUDCAD to your instrument list for the change to take effect. Instructions can be found at the link below.

Click OK in the Instrument Manager and check if data is listed in 4 decimals.

Duplicate Instruments

Hi, I have succeed with getting the data imported with 2 decimal places. Thanks for the help.

What I did was create an the instrument in the attached screenshot, as a currency, and then import with the file name as $AUDCAD_REAL.Last.txt. This guide was useful:

Now I need to do this for about 45 more instruments. Then another 45 more, replacing the REAL in each instrument name with RAND. (Testing real price data against randomly permutated price data)

Is there a way to exit out of NinjaTrader, duplicate the instrument AUDCAD_REAL somewhere in a config file by copying and pasting and then simply replacing the name AUDCAD_REAL with each of the new names e.g. AUDCHF_REAL, AUDCAD_RAND etc. Then opening NinjaTrader to find the Instrument manager populated with all the instruments?

Instrument settings reside within the NinjaTrader database file (Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > DB > NinjaTrader.sdf). Unfortunately, manually editing the database is beyond the scope of support which we are able to offer however this type of change is theoretically possible.
