NinjaTrader Continuum and IQFeed

Hi,
I just received my NT Continuum username and pass. I am confused as to how this works. I set up a new connection for Continuum and I have Dorman as my broker. For the last few weeks, I have been using IQFeed data to create and test my strategies. Can I still use IQFeed or do I need to switch to getting data from Continuum? Is is possible to have two connections... one to IQFeed and one to my broker (just to send orders)?

I need an explanation of how this should work.

Thanks for your note.

When connecting to IQFeed and your broker, you have some options...

1. Connect to IQFeed first then to your broker. This setup will get all live and historical data from IQFeed, and still allow you to execute trades to your broker.

2. Or, connect to your broker first, then to IQFeed, with historical data disabled on your broker. This will allow you to get live data from your broker, and all historical data from IQFeed, and will also use IQ Feed as a backup.
