    Lines in oscillator panels

    Hi Folks

With MACD - and probably any other oscillator - the system draws horizontal lines in the panel (apart from zero). In my MACD panel now, these lines are at plus and minus .0015.

Is there any way of rendering these invisible?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Please right click in the chart and select Indicators. Next, select your MACD indicator from the list on the lower left. On the right side of the menu please click the '+' button to the left of the Zero Line property. Using the Zero Line: Color setting, please select Transparent. Finally, click OK to apply your change and exit the Indicators menu.

The MACD is an indicator that is not normalized. Unlike RSI, Stochastics or CCI, it does not draw any lines at preselected levels.

Please post a screenshot, so that we can find out how you have managed to get those lines!

Thanks very much, Kyle and Harry.

I now see what the situation is: the lines I was referring to (not the zero line) are simply the grid lines on the chart. If I go into Properties I can set 'Plot horizontal grid lines' to false, but this removes them from the main panel as well, by I'd prefer to have them there.

I don't suppose there's any way of removing them from the lower panel only...

        Thanks for letting me know.

          Hi arbuthnot,

You are correct - unfortunately the grid line property is chart specific and not panel specific.

            Thanks, Patrick.

The thing is, those grid lines don't help in any way in a narrow oscillator panel and are only clutter. Maybe a suggestion for a future upgrade that grid lines could be turned on or off per panel ?

            Cheers.

Thanks, Patrick. What be helpful would be to have grid-lines relevant to the oscillator in question - and not the main price panel!
