Understanding the Period Tab

When selecting either the Hour or Half-hour of day of the Period parameter, which time is being used to assign a trade to the appropriate bucket. Is it the trade Entry Time or the Trade Exit Time?

Are you asking what time the Entry or Exit would be marked as when using a Time based chart?

See attached screen shot of Strategy Analyzer Period Tab with 'Hour of Day' selected.

Look at the highlighted row: 8:00 AM. That row lists the number of trades to be 148. My question is were those 148 trades selected based upon Entry Time or the Exit Time of the trade(s).

A trade's profit or loss can only be reported after the trade closes. Ergo, exit time.
