Ninjatrader chart diplay loading take more 1 hours

Hello Support,

I am using latest Ninjatrader 7 with 4 cores of i7 and 16G Ram. I experience an extreme slow loading (More than 1 hours) when I have multiple ticks chart which load more than 1 years of data.

When I check my memory utilization, it indicate memory used are only 7.5G.

Can I know why it need so much time to load tick data ?

Besides that, will increase my memory or CPU help ?

Just for your information, I am already using Samsung SSD Drive.

Thank you for your post.

NinjaTrader 7 is a single threaded application meaning that the application can use only a single processor core. Additionally, as a .NET based application, NinjaTrader is limited to 2.4 GB of total memory access. Increasing memory or CPU beyond these thresholds would have no impact on NinjaTrader.

Please open the Options menu's Data tab (Tools > Options > Data) is the 'Get data from server' options enabled or disabled in this menu?

Thanks for your reply.

When this is checked, it will try to redownload the data each time you load the chart. If you uncheck this it will not download new historical data unless you manually tell it to do so.
Note that 1 year of tick data is a lot of data. It takes a long time to download this and it takes a long time for indicators to plot off this. It is recommended to only load as much data as you need for your trading method.
