Ninja Trader and CQG

Can Ninja Trader connect to CQG for the execution of trades? I'm pretty sure NT can get CQG data. But wasn't sure about executions? And, I wasn't sure if anything changed since NT acquired Mirus.

This is a capability of NinjaTrader however whether this can be done will depend on your license key. Please reach out to us by email at PlatformSales [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with a link to this forum thread and a copy of your license key (Help > License Key) so that we can look in to this further with you.

Just for others searching for an answer to this same subject. The answer is no. You cannot use CQG. Unless you are going through Ninja Traders own brokerage.

Users can connect with CQG if their license is enabled for it. For other users, you will need to write in for us to review your license to see if CQG can be enabled for you.

We could not provider assistance on unsupported items.

Okay. Well in my case, I was told it was not possible to use CQG unless I was using the Ninja Trader Brokerage. Which doesn't work for me and what I'm trying to accomplish.

I understand that you cannot provide assistance on unsupported items. But can you confirm or deny of the possibility? I've seen other NT support guys do that in the past and was hoping for just a "yes it is possible" or "no it isn't".

No, you cannot connect to brokerages that your license key is not enabled for.
