I have the strange situation that a chart template is not used correctly. I tried deleting and renaming it, but it just doesn't work like it does on another machine with the same NT version. The xml file is identical on both machines.

Thanks for the post.
When you say your chart template is not used correctly, what do you mean specifically?
A chart template will save what indicators to load on a chart, however it does not contain the actual indicator files. If the specific indicator has not been imported into NinjaTrader that the chart template is attempting to load, then it will not appear.
I would suggest using the build in back up and restore feature of NinjaTrader to duplicate your settings. Please watch the guide in the video below:
