Anchoring Trend Channel lines

I too just tested it and it does not work. See attached weekly and daily charts where on the daily chart the trendline and the ray appear as vertical lines on the left. To test this, make sure you only have 100 bars to load on the chart and then select anchor points on the larger timeframe that do not appear on the smaller timeframe.

I am able to reproduce the issue for the Ray on my end. When both anchor points of the Ray are excluded, it is drawn vertically on the first bar of the chart. If I subsequently increase the amount of days to a few days before the 2nd anchor point, it changes the slope of the Ray slightly. Subsequently if I load even more data, the Ray changes further.

Unfortunately this is a limitation of our drawing tools. Drawing tools work on absolute bar data. If not all anchor points are part of the data loaded in the chart, the drawing object is not drawn accurately. There is no logic in place to substitute the missing anchor point, so the object is not drawn as you expect.

We added the suggestion to draw objects accurately even when not all anchor points are available to the list and it is assigned to SFT - 647.
