Can I access international symbol using Yahoo data feed?

    Hi,

I am currently using free version of NT, and added Yahoo as my data provider. I have no problem accessing US Equity symbols like APPL, MSFT, TSLA, but for international symbol, like ^KLSE (FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI), it is not possible.

    How should I do it?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

When attempting to load data for ^KLSE in the chart does an error appear on screen? If so, what does the error report?

      This is the steps:

      1. Create a new Chart, and load with a default instrument, like APPL.
      2. On the chart, type ^KLSE. Error: "Invalid Instrument Name"
      3. On the chart, type KLSE. Error: "Error on loading chart data for KLSE Default: Failed to retrieve data from YAHOO"

        Hello,

Thank you for getting back to me.

Could you please provide me with a link to this instrument's page at Yahoo Finance so that I may further test?

            Hello vhanded,

            Thanks for your reply.

Indexs are not supported with Yahoo in NinjaTrader. Some can be custom mapped however. I attempted to see if this symbol could by custom mapped however I am unable to access it in NinjaTrader.

I see. How about this ETF?

This is basically the ETF for this index.

                      Hello poloabel,
                      Thanks for your post.
I have tested and verified that this instrument cannot be custom mapped with Yahoo in NinjaTrader.

                          Hello poloabel,
                          Thanks for your reply.
It doesn't work because it isn't supported. I have attempted to custom map it but it is not possible. I will send a feature request to add support.
