Stop NT from breaking up orders in report

    Hi there,

Sometimes NT will break up an order. An example is in the attached screenshot where I placed a signal sell order of x4 contracts.

Q1. Why is NT breaking up my trades? ...and why only sometimes?

Q2. How do I stop NT from doing this?

    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hello Michelle,

Thank you for writing in. This behavior could potentially be caused by volume of the market or by settings in your platform. Could you please clarify how you are submitting the sell order? Is it coming as a result of an ATM strategy or a NinjaScript strategy or are you placing the order manually? Please send me your*database file*so that I may look into what occurred.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support and checking the "Database File" option.

Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email:*#1357613

    Thank you in advance.

Hi there, thank-you for your reply. I have emailed my DB to you. As I mentioned - this only happens sometimes - by no means is it consistent so it is quite strange. I am placing my orders from my chart. Screenshot attached.

        Hello Michelle,

Thank you for sending your database file. Please check your "Enforce partial fills" option in Tools -> Options -> Simulator tab. If enabled, orders will always get filled with partial fills. When disabled orders are filled completely or partially depending on trade volume.

If the market is moving in a very specific way it may be possible for the order to get filled at the same price and almost the exact same time but in partial fills. An example of this might be when the market is jumping between one price and the next price above where at the next price above above there are not enough buyers to fill a partial order so each time the market drops to the original price you are getting a fill.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Michael, thank-you for your reply.

I am only using a sim account to trade. When I open the Simulator tab as instructed, "Enforce Partial Fills" is *not* checked.

When I trade on a simulator account, is Ninja Trader taking volume into account and thus still filling me on Partial Fills even though this is not checked?

            Hello michellepace,

Per our help guide on the enforce partial fills option:
When disabled orders are filled completely or partially depending on trade volume.
