Just opened another thread with the same problem

I confirm: Today's bar for IB FOREX does not build up correctly on daily charts.

I also checked with other software/IB feed:

(1) TWS shows the last bar correctly for a 1 month chart. However I did not find the last bar on a 3 month chart, it was simply not there....

(2) Amibroker displays the last bar correctly with IB feed.
(3) QuoteTracker displays the last bar correctly with IB feed.

NT version 6.5.1000.4 and the problem with IB's feed last daily forex bar still remains...
is it so difficult for the developers to solve that problem?
It happens only on last daily forex bar ...not on futures...it seems NT combines the current day with the previous one...

To clarify: on the 2 images you posted there is an issue with the volume. Is that the problem you see?

it's not IB's problem Dierk....daily forex works fine on other platforms, i could name a lot of them.....

Last day of daily FOREX charts not displayed correctly

Hi Dierk,

I have to confirm that NT does not plot daily charts for FOREX correctly with IB data. You can check below if you compare the NT chart and the IB chart for EURUSD. The last candle displayed by NT is false. I would appreciate if you confirmed that NT can not display daily FOREX charts with IB data correctly and try to correct it.

I have a pending case on incorrect last bar from IB feed since months (based on your report several months ago). Unfortunately no fix/resolution from IB so far.

How does other charting software plot daily bars?

Lets see what other charting software does with IB data:

Amibroker also has some problems (choosing a different open than IB for quite a number of bars), but QuoteTracker gets it all correct. So daily bars can definitely be plotted correctly with IB data....

The good thing about NT is that all the other bars (with the exception of the last one) are fine, so the Dailybars method can be used for Pivot calculation. To check the last bar, I just open a TWS chart.
