    Local OCO simulation

    Hi Ninjas,

My broker for real live account is Interactivebrokers. I'd like to make sure about this simple feature:

I want my Strategy controls the whole orders flow according to its logic. These simple orders will always be a "Market Orders" with its attached Stoploss orders, with the regular OCO behavior. I have the Interactivebrokers connection setting for "Local OCO simulation" unchecked because I think that for any connection loss or issue, my Stop order will always be in my broker.......IS THIS CORRECT ? If I had checked "Local OCO simulation", it will mean that the stop order won't be in my broker's server, right?

    Thanks

The stop order will be at the servers, however the OCO functionality will be local meaning you need to be connected and have NT running in order for the system to detect that one of the orders was filled so it can then cancel out the other one. If you leave this unchecked then the functionality of Interactive Brokers servers will handle the OCO.
