5.1.1000.1 installation question

in the email today there was a comment to uninstall the old V5 but my user settings would not be deleted. This was, in fact, the case, buti'm now curious how this was possible if i haduninstalled the old program

i did nothave any problems with the installation, just wondered.

You could lose your settings if you also deleted the folder NinjaTrader5. If you just uninstalled, but not deleted the folder, your settings would remain.

you mean doing the uninstall thru Control Panel's 'Add/Remove' doesn't not remove all of a program's files from the computer?

Correct, there still is a NinjaTrader folder left on your C: drive under Program Files named NinjaTrader5
