    problem with installing 6.5

    I've been able to install NJ 6.5 but when I try to start it up I get the following message:

    "NinjaTrader application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

    I've uninstalled and reinstalled NT 6.5 several times with the same result. I need help please

    My OS is Windows XP.

    Hello Penelope,

    Can you please verify you have .NET Framework 2.0 installed on your PC.

    If so and the issue persists, please send your log and trace files to "support AT ninjatrader DOT com" and reference this post. You can find the log and trace files at te following locations:

    Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> Log--> log.20080505 for today. (log.yyyymmdd for any other date)

    Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> Trace--> trace.20080505 for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

      continuing the problem

      Hi Jason

      I confirm that I already have .NET Framework 2.0 installed on my PC

      As you requested, I have been to both the log and trace files. Both files are empty. Again today I uninstalled and reinstalled NT 6.5 and then rechecked those files. They were both still empty.

      What to do now please?

        Hi Penelope,

        When you now try to start NinjaTrader, do you immediatly receive the initial error message or do you display the splash screen that appears when NinjaTrader is loading?

        Could it be you installed NinjaTrader on a network drive?

          the problem

          The error message appears as soon as I double click on the NT 6.5 icon on my desktop. No splash screen appears.

          Also I've checked and NT 6.5 is installed on my local disk (C).

            Penelope,

            It looks like your .Net Framework got corrupted during the installation. Can you please send a note to support with the subject 'For Vince' and I will send you proper instructions.
