    Can't Close Strategy Window

    Hello,

    I have two related problems regarding loading strategies onto my charts. First, when I load a strategy, it will run for a bit and then suddenly disable itself. A pop-up message will appear saying: "IB. Order has exceeded available account equity: Please reduce order size affected Order: SellShort 1 Market". On the logs, it says the strategy "lost price connection but will keep running".
    Secondly, when I try to reload the strategy after that, the strategy window can no longer be closed (even through End Process from Windows Task Manager), which is really annoying because, although NinjaTrader still runs behind it, I cannot click on anything (charts, control center, etc.), and the system becomes unusable.

    Hello quietplayer,

    I assume you have the strategy running on the Sim101 account. Can you please reset the sim101 account with new funds to avoid the rejection error. You can reset the sim101 account as follows. Please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Simulator-tab. Enter the values you like on the left side and click the Reset button on the right side.       Thank you Jason,

      I followed your instructions and reset the Sim101 account with new funds. However, the problem still persists. Now when I try to load a strategy, the Strategy window freezes and becomes unclosable. The other NinjaTrader charts are still running behind it, however.

        Please follow the instructions below to repair the NinjaTrader database.

        - Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
        - From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
        - Select the "Data" tab
        - Press the "Repair DB" button
        - Press the "OK" button

        If the issue remains, please rename your database with the following steps :

        - Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
        - Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> DB--> NinjaTrader.SDF.
        - Right click on NinjaTrader.SDF and select "Rename." *Name it "OLDNinjaTrader.SDF."
        - Then restart the software and NinjaTrader will create a fresh database file to use

        Unfortunately the following items stored in the old database will be lost - ATM Strategy templates, Session templates, Instrument Lists / Custom Instruments, historical trade execution data, saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results
