What event is fired when a trade "exits"
I would like to log Trade Object data (MAE, MFE, Profit etc..) to an external database for every completed trade. My thought was to Overwrite "OnOrderUpdate()" but its my understanding that you don't always get an IOrder object. For example when a position exits on close.
How can I detect when a position is closed so I can write the Trade object somewhere?Tags: None

Hello aufidius,
Thank you for your post.
You could use OnPositionUpdate() for the position and OnExecution() to pull the execution object.
- OnPositionUpdate(): http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...tionupdate.htm
- OnExecution: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...nexecution.htm
Please let me know if you have any questions.
