Error loading chart data, quotes storage is busy too long.

    Hi,

I keep getting this message after starting NT7 and loading data is complete:

Error on loading chart data for $GBPJPY Default' Downnloading
historical data for $GBPJPY failed Quotes storage is busy too long

It also happens on other instruments.
It causes charts to randomly miss days of data from loading.

    Thanks,

    rs

    Hello,
Thank you for writing in. What data provider are you connected to?
In addition, how may days are loaded on the chart, and what intervals are selected?

        Hello,

So that I may further investigate please contact me by email at PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com. In the message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace file. You will find the file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I will need a copy of the file which is named 'trace.20150520.txt'.

          Having the same problem here.

Broker is FXCM - Range Bars (4) loading 90 days.

I have AUDUSD, EURUSD, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, USDCAD and USDJPY.

          Thanks,

          Terry

            Hello Terry,

The first thing which I would recommend is that you reboot your PC, modem and router. After restarting these components please start NinjaTrader, reconnect to FXCM and try downloading data for these instruments again.

If you encounter the same issue after restarting please contact me by email at PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com. In the message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace file. This file is found in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I would need a copy of the file which is named 'trace.20151014.txt'.

              Solution

For those that have had the same problem.

After emailing NT Support I was instructed to go into tools - account connections then select the FXCM connection, click change then look for Historical Data and choose Ninja Trader Servers then click next then finish. I closed NT, started back up again and the problem was fixed.

Thanks to NT Support - great service as always.

              Terry
