32 vs 64 bit NT7 versions

Just got a new laptop and would like to get some feedback on NT versioning. I will have win8.1 64 bit OS. I would like to install NT64 but an wondering if there might be issues with my third party indicators. Or any stability issues.

Are there any pifalls to just running NT 32 bit and restoring from my exisiting backup? Currently my system in win8.1 32 bit and NT 32--working pretty flawlessly.

I also realize that I can install both which I will probably end up doing but just wanted a heads up on any potential issues etc....

I am not aware of any issues with Windows 8.1 64 bit.

When NinjaTrader 7 is installed on a 64 bit operating system, it will install two icons. One will run NinjaTrader in 32 bit, the other runs NinjaTrader in 64 bit. You will have access to all the same settings and data.

I recommend to run NinjaTrader in 64 bit. All applications that run in Windows in 32 bit are limited to use only so much RAM (~ 4 GB RAM). When you run applications in 64 bit there is no such limitation.
