Data Importing

Hi all,
I can't backtest an imported instrument because it is not showing up int he strategy analyser.

I have saved the sample data from pitrading, used the conversion tool they offer and then imported into Ninjatrader. I get a message saying the import was successful and the data is visible in the History Data Manager but not the strategy analyser. I have tried adding the symbol to the Instrument manager and copying APPL (since the sample data is for APPL but named APPLNT) information in the Instrument Editor.
I tried changing the filename to APPLNT.last.txt and this won't import; the error is that the instrument is not supported by the repository. IT will only import when named APPLNT.txt

I Can't get this to work, can you please help as I am considering buying data.

Hello,

Can you confirm that you have added it to an instrument list? It should show up in the Strategy Analyzer once you have added it to one of the instrument lists that are displayed.

Thanks for your input, I did that and now it appears in the strategy analyser but the backtest doesn't work, also I can't create a chart as it appears blank...

I've sorted this now by importing using the function "create daily bars from minute bars" thanks
