    Instrument manager

I gather that any instrument I have a data feed for, I can add to the instrument manager. Right? I know that it is impractical to endeavor to have ALL instruments in the list, I have no idea how many instruments you can get feeds on but its probably thousands or tens of thousands. But, even so, the default set is kinda small. Is there any sort of larger, somewhat more complete lists that can be downloaded?

    Not sure I follow.
    - there are additional per-build lists for NASDAQ and SP500
    - you can create any list you'd like
    - you can import any set of stocks by File->Utilities->Import stocklist

Well, so far, I'm only using Ninja for Forex, but, I probably will eventually start using it for options. For any optionable stock, there are dozens of possible options, depending on strike price and expiration. Of course I'm not interested in every possible one at any one moment, but from day to day, I may have interest in different strikes or expirations. And of course which expirations and strikes change over time as older options expire. So, I'd like that to be done automatically. Maybe not for every obscure option available, but for common instruments.

Ah, okay. Well, I guess I won't be getting IB support for NinjaTrader then. That was what I was getting at with my first question about whether I could add any possible instrument in the instrument list. I guess I should have been more explicit in my question.

Is there a reason for this? Is there any complication to supporting options that I'm not understanding? At first glance, it would seem like for charting/ordering, options would be just another symbol and tick value. It certainly complicates managing symbol list, hence the reason I asked about the instrument manager.

So, I guess I'm just asking if you think you might support options in the future and if there are any difficulties in doing so that I'm not understanding?

Thanks for your suggestion. We'll add it to the list of future considerations.
