    Problem updating to 7.0.1000.27

    Dear SIr or Madame:

I attempted to update NT today to the most recent version and I get an error message asking me to sign in as administrator. I am using my license key and following instructions. Can you please assess the problem or let me know what I need to do?

    Thanks in advance,

    DSF

    Hello DSF,

    Thank you for your post.

Right click on the installer you have downloaded and select 'Run as administrator'.

Thanks for the response, but this doesn't appear to be an option. When I right click the file I have open file, always open files of this type or show in folder, but run as administrator is not an option. I'm using Windows seven. When I open the file I can run it, but running as an administrator is not an option. Any other suggestions?

      Thanks,

      DSF

You may not be logged in on an Administrator account in your windows. You need to have Admin privileges to install stuff in Windows 7.

          Hello DSF,

Dan is correct, you will need to be logged in as the administrator on your PC.

I'm still having a problem with trying to download the most recent version of NT. I have confirmed that I AM signed in as the administrator. I can download the file, but running the file as an administrator is not one of the options. I am running WIndows Seven and NT 7.0.1000.23.

I have tried starting NT by right clicking it from the start menu and running it as an administrator and that doesn't seem to help.

I am able to download the file and agree to the NT terms, but when it attempts to download the new version to the C drive I get the error message stating that I need to sign in as an administrator.

I have also been getting an error message when I attempt to go into global simulation mode stating that there is an active strategy running on a live account and I am NOT running any strategies at all (indicators yes, strategies no.)

Could this be a problem with version 1.0.1000.23?

Does it make any sense to uninstall NT and then reinstall it?

              Any ideas will be appreciated.

              Thanks!

              DSF

                Hello DSF,

                Thank you for your response.

There should be no issue with the current installed version. Can you contact us at platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com to schedule a support call to look into this matter?
