Setting Defaults when Generating Account Performance

Hi guys,

Is there any way of setting default values in Account Performance/Advanced rather than having to enter them every single time e.g. specifiy which accounts to calculate performance for, specify Points mode etc.

It becomes tedious having to set this up every time I log on. The easy way would be for it to just remember what you set it to last time.

Thank you for your post.

There is no method to set this as a default with the system. These start out fresh for each new run so that you can set any changes before running reports throughout the day.

I will however submit this to development to consider as a feature request for NinjaTrader 8.

In the Account Performance tab under Accounts, is there a way to delete old accounts? I have a lot of old accounts built up in the box.

Yes please add a way to default the account under Account Performance.

Thanks for your reply.

The only way to remove old accounts from here would be to rename your database file.

You can rename your database by following the steps below.

Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> DB--> NinjaTrader.SDF.
Right click on NinjaTrader.SDF and select "Rename." *Name it "OLDNinjaTrader.SDF."
Then restart the software and NinjaTrader will create a fresh database file to use
Unfortunately the following items stored in the old database will be lost - ATM Strategy templates, Session templates, Instrument Lists / Custom Instruments, historical trade execution data, saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results
