Chart Trader to use different account

Hi,

I have not purchased Ninja Trader. I have created a simulation account called "MySim101" and would like chart trader to use this account (not "Sim101"). However when I try to select a different account in the chart trader, the drop down is greyed out. Please see screenshot attached.

Is it possible to select a different account? And if so how do I go about this?

Hello Michelle,

Unfortunately this is not possible using the free license key. Only when you have a live license key, you can select and trade additional created simulation accounts.

Thanks Jason. I've just purchased Ninja. So obviously even though I am not on simulation mode - - provided I select a simulation account - - - I definitely won't be trading anything live?

Correct, the account selected in the order entry window determines if you trade live or in simulation. If a simulation account is selected, you will not trade live.

I have a similar question. I am applying a strategy to multiple charts, naming the strategies Sim101, Sim102 and Sim103. When I open a plain chart with chart trader the account is greyed out and I can't select Sim102. I am using a real license logged into a real account. How can I get a chart trader for each of my strategy charts?

Got it. I had to uncheck Global Simulation mode.
