Loading Data when running walk forward optimization

Hi Ninja's

Whenever I run a walk forward optimisation, near the end, it keeps saying loading data and it is doubling the time of my optimizations. I have already reloaded the historical database from my provider, Any tips on making it stop doing this?

Thanks for your reply.

The first thing I would suggest is downloading the data you want to backtest before hand and then disconnecting from your datafeed. Then you can run the backtest and it wil lnot attempt to redownload any data.

Hi Brandon, that works, any idea why it keeps trying to re DL data that is already present?

Thanks for your reply.

It does this to ensure all the data is correct as sometimes data provider may go back and fix incorrect data or there may be discrepancies between your system and the data from the server.
