How do you cut or truncate a drawing tool on chart?

I would like to know how to cut or truncate a drawing tool once I have placed it on the chart. Let's say I have a Trend Channel or Andrews Pitchfork on the chart that is no longer useful and I want to cut it off (terminate it) without actually deleting it from the chart. I don't see a way to do this- please advise. Thanks

There is not an option to not display a drawing object on the chart without removing it. This feature is being taken into consideration by development however.

Thanks. This is really basic stuff. Its simply a way to keep your charts clean and should not be in development but implemented a long time ago. Hopefully you can fix this soon.
