How to work offline?

Hi,
I downloaded database files I'm interested in.
I would like to work in the train when I commute, with no internet connection.
Is it possible to load these files and continue to work with no connection?

Hello Nicholas,

You can run NinjaTrader when offline, but you cannot connect to any data feed provider or broker.

What kind of database files do you refer? NinjaTrader can only use one database file at a time. The database file is saved at:

Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db

It is listed as "NinjaTrader" (SQL Server Compact Edition Database File)

I exported quotation files from the historical data manager.
I would now like to use these files when not connected.
I understand I have to paste these files to Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db, is that correct?

I see, thank you for clarifying.

You can import historical data using .txt files while offline. You can find instructions to import such files in NinjaTrader at the link below.

You do not need to paste the .txt files in the db folder - this will not import the historical data.
