question about saving data

Hello.

Would the best way to save day, minute, tick data to an archive be simply copying/pasting that instrument's directory for the date desired?

Why would one wish to export data to a text if one could simply copy that text file from the data directory to another archive?

Hello nepenthean,

Yes, you could make copy of these folders and save them elsewhere.

Perhaps you like to export the OHLC values in .txt files so it can be used in other programs.
