Too many orders - i got 1 extra order

It looks like im having the same problem as some other people below. Today i was running a strategy and the code submitted 1 extra order beyond what i had listed.

enterShort1a = EnterShort(NShares, "enterShort1a");
enterShort2a = EnterShort(NShares, "enterShort2a");


Above i have listed 2 orders, but the strategy actually submitted 2 of order #1 and 1 of order #2 for a total of 3 contracts. I am using trading technologies and amp futures brokerage. Instrument is ES.

How do I fix this?

Is the order enterShort1a actually submitting an order quantity of 2 or is there another order being generated here for reversing a position?

If you are using the same NShares between the two then You will see the same order quantity being submitted

Nshares is equal to 1, but i got a short position of 3 contracts when its only supposed to be 2

Is this live trade or backtest?

I would need to see your Trace and Log for the live trade.

If its a backtest please provide screenshots of the orders and the where you see the descrepancy

Put ATTN Cal in the subject and reference this thread

Additionally, please put what time and date these orders occurred to better look at the issue.
