No intraday data

hey guys.. i was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I'm currently using ninjatrader with esignal feed. i have confirmed with esignal that the feed is fine and is realtime.

i only get current data on daily charts. when i go to switch to intraday data the screen comes up blank. This happens with anything that i try to load up, except for one particular stock (bhp) which does show intraday data. The intraday data though is limited, even if i go to 'format data series' and increase the bars, change the date etc it still only shows limited data.

i am running it on vista (not sure if this is could be a factor)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you pull up eSignal application, can you open a historical 1 minute chart for example?

thanks for the reply.

i can't actually use esignal since having switched to the ninjatrader plan. they only provide me with data so i can't check to see if i can get intraday data.

i'm pretty sure that i would be able to. as i said, i am able to get intraday data for one stock BHP. so intraday data is being fed though (esignal confrimed this with me on the phone)

Double check that when you open an intraday chart that the session time is 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM so that data would not filtered out.

for me to be able to use MTPredictor i have to keep the settings for time at 9:30 am - 4:30 pm. i did however try changing it to 12 am - 12 am but nothing changed.

also even though i am getting data for each of the stocks i am not able to get any real time data for BHP at all for today... that is it seems that the intraday data only came through after market for some reason.

if i load up a chart now for BHP i am getting intraday data up to and including friday, no current.

You will most likely need to wait till markets open before you can get real-time data.

If I am not mistaken BHP is a stock on the NYSE. NYSE isn't open on Sundays so that is why you aren't getting any real-time data for it.

thats BHP-ASX , all the stocks in the instrument list have been set up that way. they are all linked to asx (australian stock exchange)
