live account on chart trader

I purchased the full version of Ninjatrader a few months ago and can trade my live account (AMP) from chart trader on my desktop pc. My live AMP account does not however show up under chart trader on my laptop. What am I missing?

Thank you for your forum post and welcome to the NinjaTrader Forums.


Do you have a live license key entered into NinjaTrader at Control Center > Help > License key... ?


If so, check to see if NinjaTrader is set to "Global Simulation Mode"

• Control Center > File > Global Simulation Mode

If this is checked, NinjaTrader will start in Global Simulation Mode which will lock the account dropdown menus to the Sim101 account.

In order to trade your live account you must uncheck "Global Simulation Mode"

To turn this feature off, please follow the instructions below:

• Control Center > Tools > Options
• Simulator tab
• Under the "Misc" section uncheck "Always start in simulation"
• Click "OK"
