Chart loading

I connect to Kinetick first then to Continuum, when I load a chart of either cash index or continuous contract sometimes the chart loads and displays fine, then if I'm working on the chart sometimes it just turns into a big red X. Also sometimes the chart will not load at all.
Can someone explain what's occurring, I'm working on backtesting and it's becoming frustrating. Thanks.

Hi tunabomb, thanks for your post.

The big red X in question indicates an issue with custom plotting relating to an indicator. It is possible settings in these items need to be adjusted in order for them to work properly, and that is what the big red X is indicating. I recommend that you remove indicators from your chart one by one until you find the one which is causing this error, then change the associated settings until you find what setting is causing the issue.

As far as the chart not loading at all, does the chart window never come up or is it simply not populating with data? For diagnosing this, it may be better for you to send us your log and trace files for analysis.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.
