NT7 stopped launching in Windows 8.1

Hi all,

I'm running on Windows 8.1 and NT7 was working fine. Then its stopped, I click on the icon and nothing happens, no startup screen or anything. I look in task manager and it doesn't show up.

some searches hinted that this could be windows 8 automatic updates but I wouldn't know where to begin to search for those.

are there known windows 8.1 issues that cause NT7 to fail to launch?

So that I may investigate please contact me by email at PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com. In the message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace file. You will find the file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I will need a copy of the file which is named 'trace.20150107.txt'.

Thank you for your response. I've looked in that folder and there is not a trace file for today.

In this case please provide the most recent file. whatever date that file may be from.
