Ninjacript Volume Trigger

A programmer programmed a Ninjascript that is supposed to use a minimum volume amount for a buy or short signal prior to a certain set time in the day.

The issue is that the script buys at a lower volume than it should. For example the other day VDSI was bought when volume was about 45,000 shares instead of the 216,000 shares.

I'm wondering if the script is reading the chart and counting the pre-market volume or the volume from the previous day during extended hours.

How to I set the chart only to have the volume for market hours to see if this theory holds?
In the session template I changed it from 24/7 to Stocks RTH will this fix this issue?

cdnPATRIOT, which symbol / timeframe are you working this script on?

If you're using an intraday chart then changing over to RTH hours may help, correct.

I'm using an intraday chart (30 minute) but the Stochastic and MACD indicators are calculated using the previous three trading days.

Thanks, yes then likely an issue with the selected template used - it would be defining which bars are included in your session and therefore also which volume for those bars. If you just want to monitor the regular trading hours, then RTH should be what you seek. Please retest using this template today.
