Check Indicator Version

How can I check if Indicator is for NT 6 or NT 7.
I right click on indicator file & check properties (no Luck).

Websites offer free indicators, but I don't want to install a NT 6.5 into NT 7.

It's happened before without warning.

There is not a pre-defined way to check the version for which a 3rd party indicator was designed. Some developers might list that information as a comment inside their code, and I've seen some include the target version in the filename itself. However, without these clues, you would need to confirm with the developer which version he or she targeted with a particular indicator.

If the indicator is not source code, ie. dll's, you can look at what version of NinjaTrader was used to compile it by looking in the Info.xml file included in the zip.

Everything breaks in NT8 so you shouldn't have this issue when it is released.
