stop orders placed at the exchange?

Hi there, just wondering if Ninjatrader places stop orders to rest at the exchange?

Do stop orders work in the same way as limit orders, meaning FIFO execution?

So the earlier I place my stop order, the better fill I would likely receive?

Does the simulation engine factor this when filling orders in simulation mode?

    Thanks,

    Erfan.

    Hello Erfan,

Where your order resides will depend on who you are connected to and the state of the order. Please see the link below for further information.

You will want to contact your broker for information on how the orders are handled.

The simulator engine uses a scientific approach to determine fill probability by including a number of variables including: ask/bid volume, trade volume, time (to simulate order queue position), and random time delays for switching between order states.

I am using Ninjatrader Brokerage with Rithmic Data feed. CME is the exchange.
